SESSION RATES
Unlike most headshot photographers, I do not charge “per look.” Getting the perfect shot shouldn’t cost more money just because we want to swap a top or change the background. I’m all about flexible and fluid collaboration, working with you to get the right look by tweaking all the details as we go.
A standard session is 90 minutes, which is typically enough for 3-4 looks, and you’ll walk away with around 150-200 images. If there are going to be major hair/makeup changes, and we feel that we need more time, we can add additional blocks of 30 minutes. All sessions include retouching on one photo. Additional retouching is also available and highly recommended at the per image rates listed below.
90-minute session with 1 retouch: $350
30-minute additional blocks: $100
RETOUCHING
Retouching on photos you plan to use is highly recommended. It is about more than just removing small blemishes and stray hairs. The purpose of retouching is to make you look your best by not only repairing small imperfections in hair and skin but also by balancing color, contrast, and shape in the overall frame to create a subtly powerful image. I use the same techniques as high-end fashion and editorial retouchers to remove blemishes, even skin tone, and draw attention where we want it while still maintaining a natural aesthetic that does not feel enhanced. Unless you tell me otherwise, I do not remove moles, beauty marks, and other permanent distinguishing features.
Retouching per image: $50
HAIR AND MAKEUP
Hair and makeup is entirely at your discretion. Many folks do their own. If you would like professional help, I can facilitate one of several wonderful artists, or you are welcome to bring your own.
IMAGE DELIVERY & USAGE
Hi-resolution proofs from the session will be available via a private, shareable, and downloadable link within 48 hours after the session. Upon notifying me of your selects, retouches will be turned around within a week. Retouched photos are delivered at a higher resolution than the proofs. I maintain online links and hard copies of images for at least 6 months after our shoot. Beyond that, I recommend downloading and storing your photos to your personal media.
All images are yours to keep and use as you’d like. The look of my photos is distinct and carefully crafted, so I do ask that you do not alter the images in any way by applying filters or doing any additional retouching.
